Back on the Attack!!

After vacation and camping over the Labor Day weekend, Justin is back in town, life is settling down and we're getting back to writing and crafting some killer songs! (Of course, Dave's been here sweating through the mixes and tracks of our latest completed work tape for "I'm Gone", and really fun, infectious jam in the tone of Rascall Flatts and Keith Urban. And he's done a heck of a job with it too.

We're scheduling the next jam session for next week, and we've got a few more songs in the early stages of development, including a nice little love song called "All For You". Look for that one coming up soon...

Tornado Heart ROCKS!!!

We're still working on tweaking one of our newest songs, Tornado Heart, but the consensus even now is that this song ROCKS! It's got a hard-driving country rock feel, a fun jamming solo, and some really singable and infectious lyrics. We're really proud of it. So much so that we're putting our work tape up on the site to let you hear what we're so excited about! Keep in mind that this is a work tape, not a demo, so we know the singing isn't perfect and the recording quality isn't as good as the demos... but there's no mistaking this song's drive even in this format. Highly Productive Session!

We ended up really jazzed with how things came out on Saturday! We not only worked out final arrangements and recorded basic tracks on Tornado Heart, Brand New Man and the new shortened version of If You Were My Girl, but we also stumbled across a really infectious jam and arranged a full song based around it. We're now both going to be working on lyrical ideas for it so we can compare notes before the next session.
All in all, a very productive day, and with Dave's additional tracks (lead, acoustic and vocals) we'll have three new work tapes ready for the next set of approved demos. We're living the dream... almost!
