Publishing Deal

I'm an Independent Producer. Been on soundclick for about 4 years now and I think it's almost about that time for me to start heading into the direction of Major Label Placements and other opportunities in the Industry. I recently just received notice that I had landed a placement for Tony Hawk's Ride Channel. I'm in the process of signing the agreement and I had sent it over to my friend who works at Warner Chappell records. He reviewed the agreement and said everything looks good, but who are you going through for publishing? He said if you don't have any publishing then you need to register and make sure you do that so you can get paid for you publishing as well. The conversation then led into him wanting to pitch some of my beats to the A&Rs that worked on his floor. He said if all works out and he likes what he hears, then he'll set up a meeting and get a you on a publishing deal. This could be my ticket into the career I've dreamed of.
