We are one
Oct 11, 2008
We are one
God’s word sent down to earth
We sit back and watch its birth
So as the father sits and cry
And the mother’s wailing high
The poet’s pen is broken
The soldier’s gun is shattered
Songs of war and
Songs of peace
Jumbling together in a heap
There they kill their kin
And rape the child within
The truth is spread by all who lie
All you see, written on a whim
So as the children march to war
The mothers weep for none and all
So as the children march to war
In a land away so far
The humble masses wither
And the gods in heaven slither
A million boots hits the street
The people sing as the soldiers march
The parade goes on and on
More and more men are gone
The crowd disappears and all that’s left
Allah and God as one on a throne
Like a schizophrenic child
They sit and tell each other lies
Both hope they are the real deal

The Sheperd

The Sheperd
Shifting in the sands
Down where the mermaids live
Children weeping in the street
Churchbells calling the new day in
The shepherds whistling a merry tune
As the wolfs draws close
And the stormy clouds approach
The sheep bleating in expense
But the merry tune goes on
So as the mermaids dance and flutter
And the wolfs goes a-killin’
The shepherd plays his merry tune
While his guitar is a gun
And freedom’s in his aim
He cannot see what’s before his eyes
Freedom is so fragile
He plays the last tune and screams:
I am but a shepherd

Not really a blog. It's a poem

Madness
What is evil, if not madness?
Does it make sense to hurt for joy,
Or kill the ones you love?
Does the widow kill its mate out of spite,
Or the lion out of rage?
We are the ones that kill for joy
For greed and fun and all that goes
So you who build the gears of war
Can laugh and laugh as we hit the floor
