Salvation is deliverance from sin and spiritual death. God provides salvation for all who believe in Jesus Christ and accept His free offer of forgiveness. One must first believe that he/she is indeed a sinner. And sin is something that we are born into, mankind as a whole is in a fallen state. Who can say that they have not sinned, wether you feel it is big or small. It's also one thing that I found interesting as a new believer in Christ, is that nobody can stop doing what the word of God says is sin, or could anyone say that they never have done it. Jesus is God himself who seen us in our hopeless state and came down from glory to be that perfect sacrifice for the atonement of our sins. In the days before the emaculate conception, man had to sacrifice clean animals for the forgiveness of sins. But Jesus has now put an end to that, by living a perfect life Holy and pleasing before the Father in heaven, to die on our behalf, putting a end to the bondage of sin and death.
He was able to live a sinless life because he is fully God, he was tempted to do wrong in every way that we are tempted, being fully God he was able to take upon the entire sins of the world (not just the sins of that current population but also the sins of future generations) place them on his shoulders, die on the cross on our behalf, & being fully God, rise from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures, forever putting an end to sins rule over mankind. So the work is done!, for salvation comes to no man through his/her own works! for our righteousness is like filthy rags. If we could save ourselves from death, would we need a savior? Jesus is the only path to salvation. For it is written; Jesus said to him, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No ONE comes to the FATHER except through ME" (John:14:6). Mankind's only hope of redemption from the fallen sinful state is through the blood of Jesus Christ. (God's Son Jesus whose blood was shed as he died on the cross). The account of the crucifixion of Jesus is recounted by four of His contemporaries: Matthew (chapter 27), Mark (chapter 15), Luke (chapter 23), and John (chapter 19).
So in conclusion, we need to pray the prayer of faith to recieve this great free gift of salvation. Just begin to speak to Jesus saying, "Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you right now, acknowledging who you are and who I am, and I am a sinner, and I believe that you are God, & that you died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead on the third day conquering sin and death for me. And Lord, I ask you now to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life, Lord I thank you for saving me & I love you Lord, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN!
If you openly said that prayer meaning it with your heart, you are now saved by grace through faith! Glory to God! Be confident in this, for He is GREAT and his love is unfailing, his word is infalible, & his mercy endures forever. He will never leave nor forsake you, for he has promised to be with you always, and keep what you have just committed onto him this day til the end of time.
