Van Goh is the latest artist to step forward into the Miami underground Hip-Hop movement. Drawing his name from a famous painter Van Goh credits the decision to stick with his rap persona based on his appreciation for the 'art' of music. Listening to his aggressive delivery and uncanny word usage he stands firm in his claim to always take pride in his craft. The self proclaimed, "Young Nitemare in the rap game," has been rapping for 13 years and his knack for not having a traditional sound is what he feels is his biggest attribute. "There isn't anyone out there who can honestly say I'm bitin dem or jackin' they swag, I'm doin me and that's makin' good music". Van Goh looks forward to working on his upcoming EP and working with other local artist, he states, " I want to change the typical Miami sound...and that's not to badmouth anyone down here cuz I love what is goin' on right now fa 305, but I bring a different element...when you hear me I want niggaz to be like hol' up, DAT NIGGA FROM MIAMI!!" Making an impression locally is the first task for the confident artist who knows Miami is a tough place to shine, when asked what to expect in the near future from him and his camp Van Goh stated, "...ha, expect the unpexpected". In an art where it is sometimes difficult to stand out, he is already emerging as a breathe of fresh air. (By-Susan Shepherd- City Link)
