One day I began thinking about life as if it were a trip I was taking with only one road map, (the Bible), to use to help me find my way. Just like every trip there was a starting point for me to leave from, (birth), and an ending destination for me to arrive at, (death). Even though my map shows me a little line to follow so I will know where I am going I won't know what the roads are like until I am actually driving on them. The roads may be very nicely paved or they could be full of potholes. Now my map doesn't guarantee me my trip will be uneventful, but it will certainly guide me and keep me from getting lost. As long as I keep my eyes on the map I am assured of reaching the end of my journey no matter what type of difficulties I may incur along the way. As with any trip, I find that I come to many, many places on my journey where the roads cross and I have to make a decision as to which way to go. It is always my choice to take the road my map shows me is best or to take my own route. Even though both will get me to my destination I don't want to take just "any" road I want to be sure and take the "right" road. So as I travel on my journey and I come to a crossroad in my life the most important thing for me to remember is..."Always Take The Cross." Verse one: Your life is like a journey there are no guarantees you may be up you may be down or somewhere in between and there will be times of ease and struggles on the way sometimes it's best to stop and wait for night to turn to day. Chorus: You won't find the way unless you pray if you're getting lost as you walk your road of strife and then you come to a crossroad in your life Always take the cross Verse two: Though you may know where you want your journey to end on the way you won't always know what lies around each bend and there will be many roads that can take you there when roads are long and the journey's hard there's always one who cares. Chorus Verse three: As your journey comes to its end you'll never be alone Jesus walks your every step He will take you home to a home He built on streets of gold beside a crystal sea your journey's done Glory has begun for all eternity Chorus You found the way because you prayed when you were feeling lost as you walked your road of strife and then you came to a crossroad in your life you took the Cross
As I looked out my window one day my eyes turned toward a clear blue sky. All at once I found myself so full of God's wonderful love I started telling Him how I felt about him. Before I knew it God had given me this song. This is a love song to Him. My prayer is this song will help you fall in love with Him and say thank you Father for the "Gifts You Freely Gave." John 3:16 Lyrics: Verse 1. There will never be another one like You. Your Glory is what I shout about. You are God. Chorus Your love and mercy takes my breath away. Your forgiveness it overwhelms me. Your compassion compares to none. All these gifts You freely gave to me. And they only cost Your life. Verse 2. I am speechless when I feel Your presence. You pour over me just like warm honey. You are God. Chorus Your love and mercy takes my breath away. Your forgiveness it overwhelms me. Your compassion compares to none. All these gifts You freely gave to me. And they only cost Your life.
God breathed this song into existence one day during a phone call. The words express the brokenness the person on the other end of the line was feeling at the time and is also the words of encouragement the Holy Spirit gave me to speak to them. As soon as I hung up the phone I immediately went to the piano and as quickly as I could write them down the words and music formed. God knows we are made of flesh. He also knows we're filled with feelings and emotions. After all He's the one who gave them to us. He knows and understands when we feel beaten or broken or discouraged. He also knows it is at those times we cry out to Him the loudest and He's always there with His arms opened wide to let us know we won't ever have to go through anything on our own. In this song I hope you find the encouragement to always hold on and never let go even as you say "I Can't Make It On My Own." Philipians 4:13 Lyrics Verse 1: When darkness falls and our faith is shook. When we don't know which way to look. That's when we must hold on and never let go. Cry out Jesus I can't make it on my own I need you Lord. Verse 2: When others seem to have it all. And every time we stand we fall. That's when we must hold on and never let go. Cry out Jesus I can't make it on my own I need you Lord. Verse 3: When we're so lost we can't find our way When we're so down we can't even pray. That's when we must hold on and never let go. Cry out Jesus I can't make it on my own I need you Lord. Bridge: Even when we doubt and blame He doesn't make us feel ashamed He knows and understands we didn't mean to let go of His hand. That's why we must hold on and never let go. Cry out Jesus I can't make it on my own I need you Lord.
In the past several months God has been instilling a boldness in me like I've never known before. He's also been telling me that we are failing the lost souls of the world. One day as I sat at my piano music began to flow. As I played the music over and over and over all of a sudden I felt tears streaming down my face. Then out of the stillness I heard a pleading voice say "Please take me out. Take me out of the church and to the lose." By then I was sobbing. Then that boldness He's been giving me started rising up in me and the words to this song began to hit the paper with a sternness in every word. There are actually people who think all they have to do is go to church to do their part in reaching the lost. Some people think that everyone that needs to "get saved" will eventually show up in a church and "go forward" when the invitation is given and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. WRONG!! Hell will be overflowing with people that never set foot in a church and could have been saved if we just would have taken Jesus out of the church to them. My prayer is that the message of this song will plant a seed in your heart and a boldness within your spirit so you'll take Jesus "Out Of The Church." Mark 16:15 And then he told them, Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Verse 1 We've gotta start to get up off our pews then to our knees we must fall We've gotta take a stand within the church to knock down our walls We've gotta take Him out out of the church and take him to the lost Chorus Don't wait for them to come to us or it could be too late If they won't go to a church that has a steeple take them to the church that lives inside of us We've gotta take Him out out of the church and take Him to the lost. Verse 2 We've gotta leave our sanctuaries now go out and take them by the hand We've gotta give them faith, hope & love and tell them of the Promised Land We've gotta take Him out out of the church and take Him to the lost Chorus Bridge We may only have today to show someone the way So what are we waiting for when the way for us to start is to take Him and walk out the door. Chorus
