Rik Mol just released his debut album 'What's on Tonight?!" and now brings the music of "What's on Tonight?!" live on stage with his new group.
Hiphop, jazz, sensual soul and fresh funk all in the blender! That's what Rik's "What's on Tonight?!" sounds like. It's all of the past and the present that comes together in his music, yet retain's all the essence of a mature musician ready to hit the world with ground breaking playing and ideas. From the start to the very end, this music is imbued by a passion you can feel in every single note. The sounds are warm, the grooves really fat, and crafted by Rik’s art of “lyrics without words" the melodies are so catchy that you might feel tempted to sing them along.

Rik Mol is the leader, writes the songs, and plays the trumpet, the instrument that is considered to be most similar to the human voice. Sven Figee (Anouk, Jamie Cullum) plays the hammond/fender rhodes and keyboards as Rob van Bavel plays grand piano and fender rhodes. Jeroen Vierdag (Trijntje Oosterhuis, Ilse de Lange) plays electric bass, Joost Kroon (New Cool Collective) plays the drums, and Ben van den Dungen(Nueva Manteca) tenorsax and soprano sax.

What’s on Tonight?! in stores January 2008

Rik's debut album "What’s on Tonight?!" is finally available in stores nationwide from January 2008 on Challenge Records International.So there's no excuse for not having it by the time it's February...
In 2007 we already released a promo of this album with all the 11 tracks, close to 2000 people have this promotional copy of the album. This was not a official release, Challenge Records will release the official copy of What's on Tonight?! Marcel van den Broek designed a new booklet, and it looks great! Go get it!
