My son is getting out of the Navy in August. His plans are to go to college to become a school teacher, a fine career. Please join me and the rest of the family in praying for him and wishing him success in the future.
On the 21st my son, Kenneth Jr., is coming home for the first time since last Christmas. He is currently an E-4 in the US Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA.
This is a song I wrote several years ago right after my Grandfather died. I still have not set music to it, these are just the lyrics: Daddy Sang Amazing Grace Daddy sang about the cowboys and the hard times that he's known About Little Joe the Wrangler and those old hobo songs But when he sang God's praises, oh, you should've seen his face Yeah, you should've seen my daddy when Daddy Sang Amazing Grace. (chorus) You knew he'd seen the light you see joy light up his face Yeah, you should've seen my daddy when Danny Sang Amazing Grace. He lived life to the fullest yet remained a simple man He'd say "life's so uncertain son, so enjoy it while you can" But, every week on Sunday he's take his usual place And his face would shine so brightly when Daddy Sang Amazing Grace. (repeat chorus) Now Daddy's gone to Heaven where he stand by Jesus' side And when I sing about the cowboys I want to hang my head and cry And when I go to church on Sunday I stand in Daddy's place And I think about my daddy, when we sing Amazing Grace. (repeat chorus)
