DO WHAT YOU LOVE-LOVE WHAT YOU DO
Feb 9, 2013

Hi, Hello, Howdy, Hola, Aloha, Bienvenue, Bonjour, Zdravstvuite, Salut, Al Salaam a' alaykum Buon giorno, Konichiwa, Ni Hao, Jambo, Wa Gwan? Greetings to all those who are curious enough to read this note. Right now, even as you read this the world is continuously evolving more quickly than it did 20 years ago. In this day in age the world has changed a great deal.
Whether its through music, fashion or lifestyle, we have access to technology & information that we never thought to imagine, we can connect with people we never thought we would ever meet.
Lately, however I think there really needs to be a voice that can creatively and strategically filter out what is garbage and what is worthy of what is called music. Whether we like it or not, Music is constantly evolving. There are so many genres of music now it is almost hard to keep track of them all but in order to make sense of what is good and bad we must look at our history of where music came from.
There is an African Proverb that says "If you can talk, you can sing, and if you can walk you can dance." There are several ways to look at it. There are those who see music as a natural part of life and therefore just go with the flow, not judging, just doing. Then there are those who see music as a tool, using it and manipulating it for personal gain or profit by any means at any cost.
Every bar, loop, key, snare, tune, lyric, sample, rhythm, bpm counts when we hear Music. Most of us who listen to it enough know what a rhythm or a drum beat is. It takes knowledge and a lot of skill and precision to be a good artist, but it also takes heart and the courage to be a great one. If you look at legends like Beethoven, Mozart, Isaac Hayes, James Brown, Bob Marely, Elvis Presley, Prince and Michael Jackson you can see their greatness on many levels from their musical and cultural backgrounds, their social skills, courage and guts that it took to become the experienced known legends they are now.
Music is like the opening up of the heart & soul and therefore has power to communicate through emotions and thoughts. Music expresses real life experiences, our joys and sorrows and observations of the world. Without music, life would be with out a soul and on that note, without progress. Music is many things and it also is something I love, I live through it and see the world through it and I put my heart and soul into it. If it weren't for MUSIC, I wouldn't be writing this, or sharing my thoughts to the world for that matter.
While the world searches for the next HOTTEST DJ, MC or ARTIST I have to say this- my biggest fear of where music is going is like something from the Movie "Demolition Man", where what they called the "Music of the future" was nothing but really corny 30-second jingles or cheesy 2 minute sing-a-long commercials where everybody knows all the lyrics to and there was nothing else on the radio to listen to, etc.....you get the picture. Anyway Check out my Playlist and my music. Feedback is always appreciated. For those who are reading this - Keep the Music Alive and Stay creative!

I felt the need to Blog this....
Current mood: determined

The internet can be a classroom at your fingertips. I for one am an avid believer and thinker for instant resources and knowledge at the click of a button. Though there are a few drawbacks to having that advantage, whether it be something sexually suggestive or false advertising, information is conveniently located everywhere you go, whenever you need it. With that in mind, I thought I would bring a couple things to the world's attention.
1. Global Warming. Yes, sadly enough our world is deteriorating which is a huge issue these days due to human consmption and waste - there is a serious need for improvements on conserving our energy. Please check out: https://www.storyofstuff.com/
2. The "War on Terrorism". I have a lot to say about this subject, so I am going to keep this one at a minimum. Go to Youtube.com and type in "911 Loose Change", it's enough to make your blood boil. Please check out: https://www.loosechange911.com/blog/
3. Health Care and Recession Crisis. *Sigh*, Check out the links below. https://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/2433 https://www.one.org/pepfarsenate/
4. Our Lives and Well Being. We rely on all natural resources and therefore it needs to be protected. If We don't do this, Our resources and life itself will go extinct sooner than you think. Please visit: https://www.well.com/~davidu/extinction.html
Let me just say this. If you are reading this post, that means you might actually care enough to say or do something about it. With all the problems in the world, Making a difference one person at a time, from what I heard, can do amazing things. Americans definitely have the power to do this, just as much as many others across the globe. But WE NEED HEARD! USE YOUR VOICE OF OPINION! Together We CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
A few things I suggest is: Post a Blog with resourceful info to help educate others about these serious issues going on.
Talk about to your friends and family. Find out what they know about these issues and possibly come up with an idea that could help society rebuild itself.
Make a website, logo, ad, or poster about your own opinion. Let your voice be heard. People Seem to do it all the time with music and branding, why not free speech??
If you can think of any other ways or if you have any input please feel free to contact me. ok that's it for now, I just thought I would let that out.
