Drowning in desire
Searching for a better life
She gets more and more lost within herself
Falling, drowning, tumbling down
Grasping onto straws of better love
Waiting for meaning
Holding onto promises of truth
She can't see beyond the mists of her desire
Falling, turning, lost in life
Lashing out against the cage she built
Hurting those who care
Too proud to pull down the house of lies
Too scared to face the truth
Falling, crying, afraid to give
In the emptyness a child calls
Frightened by silence
She retreats into a world of dreams
Waiting for love
Falling, longing, afraid to forgive

Across time and space
you touched me
Across time and space
I reached out for you
and something sparked and grew into a steady flame
Like the moon my heart will grow full of wonder
and then wane and grow empty
only to return and glow in fullness again
Like the evenstar
the bright glow of our trust
will shine across time and space

Nine lives

If I were a cat
with nine lives to spend...
one for each mistake
one for each broken heart
Would I finally learn?
Would I breath the ninth breath out gently
happy with who I am?
Or would I continue to make the wrong choices,
take the wrong steps,
say the wrong words...
Would life continue to suprise me?
Or would I grow bored,
would the path be too even,
would I long for uncertainty
for things unattainable...
