This CD started with a photograph from the Himalayas posted by my friend Neeraj Pandey. It showed a railway line covered in petals from a Flame of the Forest tree, which turned abruptly to the right in the distance. A beautiful image but also a great allegory for life, which inspired me to write the title track life keeps You Guessing. Neeraj is a brilliant Tabla player, so I sent an early version to him to see if he could add a Tabla accompaniment and he kindly agreed. I did make one tiny addition to his original image - see if you can spot it! The back cover shows the distant high Himalayas rising above... the Kent countryside! I did knock up a quick video to go with this track - mainly to show Neeraj's magic fingers at work. You can find it on Youtube https://youtu.be/WsgdvJVrPRw
martin stirrup - HBD 11 Here Be Dragons My latest album Here Be Dragons is just about to go out for duplication, and I will be uploading the tracks one at a time over the next week or two.
I'm just about to send off my latest CD Rules of the Road for duplication, but as it's Advent I'll try to post a track a day to Soundclick through December... You can see the video for Rules of the Road at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oudDyU3Bak Enjoy!
My latest CD Age Old Story marks a slight change for me - still the same eclectic mix of styles but thematically it's all about relationships... from beginnings to (various) endings. It's only just occurred to me that I've not updated this page for some time - I don't automatically see it when I log on as me! Ho Hum. You can get up to date with all my CDs (all 16 of them...) on my website: https://www.martinstirrup.force9.co.uk/
