I love Gospel Music, I have made that pretty clear! But more than that, my page, my podcast, and my life are dedicated to promoting those others who love Gospel Music as well, and sing it for the glory of the Lord! Keep your eye on these blogs, and I will update here when I post a new podcast... many with songs shared by singers I encountered right here on SoundClick. Here are just a few links to recent shows that you are more than welcome to check out! https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/07/24/gospel-music-roundup-western-style-part-ii/ https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/07/28/gospel-music-roundup-sunday-service-holy-is-the-lord/ https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/08/03/gospel-music-roundup-the-missourians-revisited/ https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/08/09/gospel-music-roundup-trusting-in-him/ https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/08/13/gospel-music-roundup-strong-words-for-a-strong-battle/ https://gospelmusicroundup.org/2008/08/22/gospel-music-roundup-shoutin-glory/ As I said, as I post new shows, I will update you right here! God Bless, and keep on singing!
Dave Berland has once again taken a lyric that came to me a couple weeks ago, after the passing of a dear prayer warrior from my church, and transformed it into a truly warm and uplifting song called, "Graduation Day" You see, when I had learned of this passing of one of the most concerned and loving people ever to grace our walls, the immediate thought that came to mind was, "WOW;. She had her Graduation Day!" There is no joy as great as knowing that you will see someone who has moved on again, in heaven. What is even more amazng is that I sent the lyric off to Dave Berland the morning I wrote it, and in the evening, he sent me back what he called, "The rough cut". Tears came to my eyes as I listened, because Dave had used the VERY TUNE I had going through my head as I wrote it, yet I HAD NOT TOLD HIM what I had been hearing! The feeling gave me goosebumps, first for the minor miracle, but also because it confirmed that I had a "God Moment" that morning! You can listen to this song on Dave Berland's page: Song page: https://soundclick.com/share?songid=6772163 Thank you for taking your time and listening to this song that has truly been a blessing to me!
No, this is not about an old beatles song. This is about true friendship, commitment, and talent. As many of you know, I am close friends with Dave Berland. I could almost say Best Friends, but that title is reserved for others in his life before me, like his wife, and others. Still, I have never known a man like him; Especially one so committed to spreading the Gospel in song! In my radio days, I watched as Christian Music became more and more of a business than a ministry. This caused me great sadness, because I had seen so many great artists come forth with a servant's heart, willing to play to whomever would listen and share in praise. Over the years since, I began to focus on so many artists, like the ones here on soundclick, who just want to get their songs out there to be heard. I wish I had come here even sooner, to be sure. My friendship with Dave Berland has grown to a camaraderie that knows no boundaries. We laugh, we share, and now we even have collaorated on a couple songs! Most recently, we worked across thousands of miles to put out this song, Called "Path Of The Son. I encourage you to check it out on Dave's page, here: Song page: https://soundclick.com/share?songid=6818692 After you listen, please say Hi to Dave, and check out all his other great songs! He has done marvelous works on reworking several of the old Hymns of Faith, and other great collaborations with other SC members along with many of his own original works! He has over 87 listed, and counting. He never ceases to amaze me at how he actively puts up songs faster than most anyone I have seen! Truly he is a gifted and talented man. I have used many of Dave's songs in my Podcast, located at: https://gospelmusicroundup.org Thank you for reading... God bless and rock on... The SOLID ROCK!
