With all of the advances in technology which make life so much less burdensome than in the past but we are still faced with the biggest problem for most, a lack of connectedness to nature and to a purpose in life. Mental illness results from this sense of isolation and loneliness. How can we find a way to live to sustain our families and to balance this with activities that give our lives meaning bringing about a sense of well-being? Why is there such a sense of dissatisfaction in the world today? How much do we really need? Do we need more money, more "things"? Something is missing, are we here for another purpose beyond our physical/material existence?

We have all been affected by the pandemic in so many ways. But do we see that this pandemic is a reflection of who we are, a race of people lost so out of touch with nature. Look around at the way we disrespect the Earth and continually take from her-now the signs are evident we are at a critical point where worse things, far worse than a pandemic could face our future generation. Can we wake up and understand that we are the cause of all this imbalance both in our inner world and in the world around us? What will it take for us to return to a balanced existence free of excess, to bring the entire planet back to the paradise it once was. We need to change our way of living if we have any chance at all to deal with the damage that is evident everywhere in the world-climate, over population, water, air. What will the change required look like? How do I begin? Share your thoughts.
