So, last night a bunch of us went to Ulana's in Philly. I asked the DJ to play Round and Round by Waiting for Helen for us. MY GOD did it sound GREAT!!! Playing it in your living room really loud is one thing, but that song was totally meant to be played in a club.
it was just me and another guy dancing - sadly people aren't really into New music. but I talked with the DJ afterwards, when I was profusiously thanking him, and said, "sorry for clearning your floor. I'm sure you won't be playing that again."
And he said,"No, I will. It fits right in with the classic goth sound. So, I'll throw it in when I'm doing those sets
I was like WOOT! Lots of hugging and a few kisses on the cheek ensued. And he was very confused, so I said that I knew the band vey well and that this was the most awesme thing for me.
We tried to get picks of me dancing, but the guy with the camera thought it was too dark and didn't trust the flash. Oh well... I'll just have to start bringing my camera and if there's a next time more pictures.
It was also cool because A couple people who didn't dance were talking about it, most liked it and were like, hmmm I wonder what that was - I think i'll have to request that.
