Funny thing is that I was again reading Psalm 90. My heart was ministered to in the most profound way by the Word's description of how powerful our God is. Give it a good read tonight. Ok? I have been enjoying a truly wonderful song titled "When Mercy Found Me" by The Rhett Walker Band. Love it! I love it! What's on your playlist?
Kari Jobe "Stars In The Sky". You can check it out on iTunes or YouTube. What song is currently helping move your heart closer to God?
Let us Your servants, see You work again; let our children see Your glory. A prayer to our God. Perhaps you will begin to ask the Lord for this in your life also. The Psalms will guide us even in our prayers to Father.
God in our pain/ A God Who Cares The question is often raised "Does God even care about me?" I know that He does. Reading Exodus chapter 3, those of us who have chosen to believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God (as it proves 'itself' to be) have a genuine, unshakable trust that God sees our hurt and pain and that He does truly care. And above all that, He alone has the power to remove it ( all afflictions) if He chooses to, or that He will strengthen His afflicted one to walk victoriously through the darkness and affliction. Either way, God's afflicted sons and daughters are winners and not losers in/through the battles of life. Sometimes that 'walking through' means entering eternity into the very presence of Christ who loved us and gave Himself for us, so that we could have the favor of a righteous and 100% holy God. Either way, I am magnificently humbled to be a true child of God. I am humbled to be counted as 'His', and even more humbled to learn that whatever troubles I have in this life ( and I do have many) God watches over my life each minute second and hour. He carries me, holds me, and picks me up when I fall down. Perhaps I cannot convince another of how truly strong and good God is and has been to me. Perhaps my life (right now) seems a true mess, but, God will show Himself strong for me. And as He does, all my hurt, my tears, my failures will reveal that He whom my soul has loved has truly been there all along, for me.
