Why has OKC never had a successful rap scene?

One of "Americas Most Gang Infested Cities"...The crossroads of the drug trade.... But as my OG once said, nothing good is easy. A unique culture that is compromised of a blend of culture from all across the USA. Gangbanging cowboys that sound somewhere in between UGK and E-40... we are at the top of all of the worst list you could imagine... we are done of the poorest, uneducated, unhealthies, violent, drug addicted people that you can find in USA. I've seen parts of Oklahoma that look worst the New Orleans or Fallujah Iraq....
You would thing this would create the perfect storm for really good rap. (It worked for rock and country). But not rap. Is it because we just suck? We have no style? We are no original? I don't know. But I do know that the local game is weak, and it is not hard to be the King of Oklahoma when the competition is so weak. Yea that's right, I am the self proclaimed King of Oklahoma. Ain't no body out here really fucking with me. I got that motherfuckin crack, that real shit on every verse. I have spit the hardest lyrics to come out of the state of Oklahoma. I'm Putin down facts, 100% real shit, no fake shit, only that real shit I have experienced out here in these streets., And you can hear it in my music. Real recognizes real, and I'm one of the realest. Stamped and certified OKCs Trillest. I am the future of OKC hip-hop, the one that will put the whole State on the Map. Ladies and Gentlemen...
