Arrgh - I guess I'll do anything for promotion !

Back in 2006 I registered an account here at Soundclick. I instantly took a dislike to the very poor GUI of the site, cluttered, illogical layouts and many button pushes to do what one should do. The only thing I liked was the fact that the charts seemed genuine, although those people really pushing their product or subscribers who got premium ads on the site filled up the top 35-40 places with no chance of those free account holders pushing through.
I basically let the account lie dormant for 18 months.
What changed? My favourite music site Dmusic.com hit the buffers in late December 2007, a major server crash which still has not been properly fixed even now (Feb 5, 2008). After a couple of weeks, people began to drift away and many people stepped up their existing interest here or signed up.
The site has improved a little in the 18 months I wasn't visiting. I still don't like the layout, but the addition of video uploads, more flexibility with graphics and easier to add friends, fans and such is for the better. I took down my old couple of tunes and put up some of my newer material which will feature on my album 'Searching For Esperanto' which should be available sometime around April/May 2008 on free internet release.
Anyway - I'm back. I'm giving it a second chance and friends such as Bluenevus helped to persuade me to return. Whether I will stay or participate much depends on how Dmusic can heal and get back with the program. Time will tell....
