We all face internal battles everyday of our lives. I know I do. I will bawl it out within myself on a daily basis. We base a lot of these inner conflicts on the people around us. What will they think? What will they say? What will they do? It's our fear of judgement that causes so many of these battles we fight within ourselves. I have fought a lot of different battles over the years as a lot of you know. One I have fought for a bit is not saying anything about God or sharing my thoughts on God, and my beliefs. I have been worried for a long time what some of my fans would think. It's something that has been on my mind a lot. It's kind of wore me out in ways. I am tired of worrying about how people will feel about me, and what people will think. I have done some tracks with some very vulgar lyrics trying to kind of vindicate myself to clubs because their are clubs that I've been offered to play that don't want Christian musicians playing. A lot of people think that Christian musicians are people trying to beat The Bible, God, and their beliefs down people's throat or force their beliefs on people. In a lot of society now day if you say you're a Christian you get ridiculed because you get put in a box with the people who have confused what their beliefs are with what Jesus thought us,. The try condemning people or spreading hate when Jesus said in the New Testament when asked which commandments where the most important. He told the disciples that the most important commandment above all others is "Love your neighbor as you love yourself.". Which even if you don't believe in God that is a very good moral to fellow in your life. People who claim to be Christians, but sit and condemn people or spread hate against people have confused their beliefs with the teachings of God. A great example if West Bero Church. Those people are farther from Christianity or being a Christian then a person who condemns Christians, and God on a daily basis. I am not one of the Christians who preaches the end of the world, condemns people who do not believe in God, and hates or looks down on gays. I'm sorry to hate or condemn a person because who they love is wrong. I have several friends who are gay, and a very good friend that is. For those of you who talk down on a person because they love someone of the same sex you need to take a step back, and look in the mirror to see if you are following God's, and Jesus's teachings like you say you are. Shanw is one of the nicest people I know, and preaches love and peace more then some Christians I know do. He is always out to cheer people up, organizes music festivals to raise money for charities, is willing to lend people a hand in need, and is always helping musicians and artist. On top of all this he has the most amazing vocals I have heard from a guy since Freddie Mercury. He can go from singing several different styles of music straight to a crescendo like and hold a note like some of the best opera singers out there. You should check out his band Shotgun Abby they are a fast up, and coming band. I love working on tracks with him, and have several in the works now. He is also an amazing artist who does beautiful paintings. If you try to condem him or any of my other gay friends in the name of religon I will personally stand and defend their character and the person they are. I will also remind you how Jesus preaches love, and peace not condement or hate. I would rather spend time with one of my friends or any person who is gay or a nonbeliever then someone who claims to be Christian but preaches hate, and condemns people. Jesus even taught us, and told us we have no right to condemn or judge a person only God can, and that God loves everyone. I love my wife, and children dearly, and to judge a person because of who they love is wrong. If a person loves someone as much as I love my family then
Well things were a bit this past week, and didn't get a blog posted like I wanted. I had a couple things I wanted to touch base on. Things dealing with upcoming tracks, and collabs. Then on some other things. I will start with seeing how messed up things are becoming in society. Yes it's true I blew out my left knee, and my doctor has me using a cane for the time being (which sucks too say the least). This is where things start getting a bit messed up. The other day I walked to the bus stop to get my son. His bus was dropping him off at a different stop because he stayed after some school for some stuff so it was a bit further then usual. Now mind you our subdivision doesn't have sidewalks for some reason like most around here. SO I am walking to the bus stop with a cane in one hand, and an umbrella in the other because it's just pouring down rain. As I am walking cars are flying through the subdivision. People are always speeding around here, but doing it when it is raining on top of flying through a subdivision is just idiotic. Now I am walking on the side of the road with all these cars flying past. A man is walking down the side of the road with a cane, and umbrella. Not one car had the decency to slow down when they came up on me or went past. None even had the decency to even move over a little bit to make sure they didn't clip me. Which it is pathetic that people are like that now. Then it goes even further. Walking back from the bus stop the cars did the same exact thing, but this time there is a man with a cane and a kid walking down the side of the road. Not one car slowed down as they came up on us or moved over a little so they weren't so close. How can people not have the common decency to even be cautious for a person walking like that not just on some side road, but in a subdivision where kids are playing and riding their bikes also. People are becoming so detached from courtesy, and common concern for people it's not even funny. I am not a saint, and make my share of mistakes, but seeing this decline in how people treat not just other people and the human race but the world as a whole is saddening. People need to make a change. All of us. We need to be willing to make a change in our lives, and in society. Society is filled with so much instant gratification seeking, and answers it's not even funny. We have become a world of very little patients towards anything at all. We are all always in a rush, constrained by time, or just trying to pack all we can into a short period of time. We rush through life no matter what it is. Constantly keeping ourselves busy with something. I am very guilty of this. I cannot handle silence. For some reason silence really bothers me so I always have some sort of sound. I have music always playing or if I am out hunting or fishing I am paying attention to the sounds nature is making. My iPod travels with me where ever I go, and my smart phone has a bunch of music on it also. Society has pushed us to that point, and to the point we care about nothing but ourselves, and self gratification. On T.V. you're always told what you have to buy, what you have to eat, what you have to wear, what you have to watch, and many other things you "have" to do to be happy or "fit in" with modern society. It's sad, and needs to change. For now I am out, and will be posting the second part of this blog very soon. Until then think about what society has done to the world around us. Never give in, never give up!
What's up people? It has been an odd week the past 7 days. I have had a lot going with working on the new tracks, and trying to piece together shows in the next couple of months. From the looks of it I will actually be playing some pretty cool local venues that are not your normal music scene. Which has me realy stoked because I will also be doing a couple shows with Social Sniper. The new lighting effects will be in use at all the new shows also. I am still stuck on what to title the new album. I am actually considering doing a poll with the couple ideas I have and using the winner of the poll. So you the fans can help decide what the new albums is going to be titled. We start recording guitar for the new album in a couple weeks, and I hope to release the first single off of the new album towards the end of April. I am not sure which track I am going to release first because I am really digging all the tracks on this album. I can give you the final track listing in no particular order. For You (Tribal Remix) Those Days (Old Vinyl Remix) Solo In E minor (Zen Remix) Is This What You Want (Trance Remix) Traipsing The Grave (Bad Dream Remix) Mellow (E Remix) See (Angels Remix) Karma (Mutate Remix) Forgive Me (Self Destruction Remix) N CIN U 8 (Dirty Remix) U R Knot T 1 (Only 1 Remix) The Revolution Begins - The Final Battle I can't wait to start releasxing these tracks. I know you guys or going to flip on how insane these tracks are.
Well here we are the first blog of the new year. There are some cool things planned for this year. Of course there is the new album coming out, and I am also tossing around ideas with the label to make shows more intense. Lets just say we are seeing what we can do with special effects. Right now I am not doing any shows until the next CD release in August. Partially to finish working the mnew tracks, but I also need time to recover from surgery. I am on a weight limit of lifting nothing more then 5 pounds up until the end of the momnth. Then after that I cannot list anything over 15 pounds so doing gigs right now would be very difficult because as those of you who have been to my shows. I play heavy gear, and don't stand still on stage. Personally I do not want to end back up in the O.R. because I was doing to much so I am just laying low and recovering as I work on the new album. Due to the stuff from surgery I am unable to record the guitars right n ow because of being unable to lift so little, but on the flip side I wouldn't be able to get into the studio right now anyway. The reason being the studio is getting totally renovated with all new multi-tracks, interfaces, and computers. Which is going to be totally awesome when it comes time to throw down all the tracks. Right now I am spending the down time programming the drums and the synths. Which go back to my trance and vocal trance roots with some techno, house, tribal, and drum & bass influences mixed in on some parts. I am really stoked about this album. I was excited about my previous two albums when they were getting released, but truly stoked about this one. Well I am off for now to get back to working on new tracks. I hope all of you had a great, and safe New Year and weren't to hung over.
