You are tremendously talented Melv. There is the right blend of cheekiness and reverence for Pop music in your sound. It a very distinctive blend you have here. I can hear The Sex Pistols, Clash, U2, Radiohead and even some Billy Bragg in your synthesis. It's amazing. It's rare to run into this level of talent on Soundclick. Great stuff man.

Listening to Walking on Shoulders. It's a fine arrangement. The vocals seem a little bit too far behind the mix, but other than that, it's a good tune. Reminds me a little of Elvis Costello (on something a little heavy) :-) .. Nice job!

Ok, scratch "Fire inside of me" as my favorite song, "New Time" is, It's so amazing, as far as weirdness goes you in par with "Muse" (your voice even sound like Bellamy but not yet to the abstract nature of Kid A and amnesiac Radiohead. Nice verse transition to chorus and to the bridge, and the snare/bass drum pattern although a little awkward at first but you forget about it after listening to the keyboard lick (talking about the outro...piano's very Politik-ish. Nice, nice, nice!

"Under Control" was good prodution-wise and upholds the songwriting craft to the max but it still lacks that "it" factor you know? "Fire Inside of Me" is your best one in the site, wouldn't do bad in the REAL alternative charts if it were up to me. A surreal video would be a perfect match for this one! I'll check you other 3 later, peace!

Hi Neil, I really enjoyed your music, especially "Fire Inside of Me" what an awesome song...your piano playing and melody construction are very thought provoking, if that makes any sense? When I listen to music, I first analyze the chord progression for interesting, ear turning events. Then I brief over lyrics for intelligence and rhythmic patterns. The rest is just icing on the cake (mix levels, harmonies...) I am impressed by your song writing and piano playing abilities. Your music shows personal intelligence and is captivating and very interesting. I would like to hear more songs from you. Please keep writing and thanks for sharing your music, it has brought me inspiration.
