Meltdown (UK)
Meltdown are a lo-fi garage sounding stoner band. We formed in 2000 and have a mini LP out.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We formed in 2000. The lead singer Assasin Asim aka DJ Khanige was taking a break from mixxing for another prominant local band called Black Eenrgy. Khainge recruited a drummer; Johnny "Stickman" Wilson and his bassit pal Jason "Jiggy" Smith. Together they became Meltdown.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We don't play live.
Your musical influences
Our msuic influences are varied, but we are especially into the early 90's grunge explosion in Seattle. Bands from Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Nirvana to other stoner bands like Monster Magnet.
