Akalyte is both a Catholic emcee(studio emcee) and beat maker. His style in beats range from Synth to samples, oldies, classical music etc.. Akalyte first started making music as "demizah" before he became a Catholic. His musical influences were, Wu-tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Bustah Rhymes, Flip-mode Squad. Fat Joe and Terror Squad.. Basically what his different beat styles where modeled after.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Most of what Akalyte does now started at Phatmass.com, his online phamily.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Akalyte doesnt really like to be center stage. Not only because of stage fright but because he believes God is the only Shining star.
Your musical influences
Before Akalyte was Catholic he listened to:
Wu-tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Bustah Rhymes, Flip-mode Squad. Fat Joe and Terror Squad, The Alkaholics, Bone thugs and harmony, (secular rap artists)etc..
Now Akalyte listens to:
Mars Ill, Sammy Blaze, DJ 86, Miko, Zealous, Point 5 Covenant, The Second, The Apologist, Paradox, Father Pontifex and Father Stan, all (Catholic rap artists)

Akalyte has a new EP coming out soon titled "rise up" and after that there will be a full length album titled "Lost Art"...
