It wasn't so very long ago and not so far away that the band Maybe Tomorrow popped up in Detroit, MI for the first time. Maybe Tomorrow is a melodic punk rock band that began with Andy Blaha and Conor Bruen, two long time friends who had previously been involved together in various musical endeavors, and now decided to turn the experience they had gained into something more serious. Shortly afterwards, Maybe Tomorrow drummer George Dreher was inducted into the band as the next member, then followed by Dan Mazur, who took up the bass guitar position. This group of, (fairly good looking), guys all have an extraordinary sense of fun and energy. You are sure to hear and see in live shows and the music they have written.
Maybe Tomorrow draws musical influence from bands like Sum-41, Finch, Brand New, Yellow Card, the Counting Crows and even the pop group sensation Guster. Combined with their own writing style, Maybe Tomorrow has established a unique rock sound, which is catchy, fun, and "simply-complex” (A term the band uses to explain their writing style). In short, their music is candy for the enjoyment of your ears. The songs of Maybe Tomorrow are mainly about the things we human beings go through from day to day, like love, and sometimes just about nothing at all (hence “Bored Song”). The music and lyrics are bound to get anyone to move around and start singing along, rather than have you drown in the deep, dark contemplations of the mind. Who couldn't be happy about that?
While Maybe Tomorrow is fairly young still in terms of its existence, they have still enjoyed playing at many local venues around Detroit and have already finished their first EP album, "Can't Afford This, " of some of the bands better-known and better-liked music. This is to be followed by the band's full-length album in the not so distant future. A lifestyle of recording, traveling, playing music, and making new friends and fans wherever they go is what the members of Maybe Tomorrow consider to be ideal and is what the band hopes to achieve in the future. Maybe Tomorrow will continue to work towards a better future for the band and better music for its fans and friends to listen to.
