Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Raised on the westside of Birmingham, Maximus was a troubled kid but later learned to channel his energy towards music. He began rapping in the 7th grade. His musical influences were AZ, Outkast,R.O.A., and Attitude. In the 9th grade he met a rap group called " The Ballin Mafia" who helped him develop his singin talents. The music they produced together were based on real life situations. Two years later, they were seperated. A few guys in the group were charged with armed robbery and convicted.Maximus then decided to leave the the streets alone and get a job. He began working at the Birmingham Race Course.There he met Gerald "G-pistols"Prince, Jakeno Crenshaw,James "The Cleaner" Wiggins, and Chris"Ceez"Johnson. He was later introduce to Carlos " Mr.Bailey" Bailey By G-Pistols. Everyone hit it off instantly People liked the music they created together so they decided to form the"Big Six"(est.1998) The Big Six have been doing local show ever since then creating a name for themselves.In 2003, all that came to a crashing holt when Maximus was arrested and convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping.He was sentenced to 10 years in prison which was a huge setback. Max was released early on Feb.21,2005 and has been making music with the hopes of landing a recording contract.
