Matthew gave his London guitar debut on Valentine’s Day 2006 at St Paul’s (The Actor’s Church), Covent Garden - and has since performed as a soloist in some of Britain’s most famous concert venues, including, St John’s Smith Square, St James’ Piccadilly and St Martin In The Fields’ new music series (for young composers).
In addition to performances in his native country, he has also given recitals across Europe and North America featuring on various broadcasts including BBC Radio, SW1 Radio, Spanish television as well as the online publications NME and Gibson Lifestyle. In addition to his work with the guitar, he has written solo pieces for piano, harpsichord, violin and vibraphone - as well as ensemble pieces for string quartet, wind quintet and is currently writing a violin concerto, his first large scale work.
Matthew’s other musical passion is teaching and he is a Licensed guitar teacher at the music and dance academy Bird College and a visiting teacher at Bexley Grammar School and Eltham College, all in South East London. As a private teacher, he also teaches piano, improvisation and composition. Matthew lives happily with his wife Suzanne in SE London. In addition to Classical and world music, they both share an interests in gypsy jazz, as well as a love of football, films, biographical accounts, theology, string theory and Autism.Band/artist history

I really like your excellent recording of this piece. It's very musical and fluent. I've just started learning it myself, been on my list for years, but now I've actually begun.....
Beautiful guitar..
Cheers

Matthew, I *really* liked your page. Going to listen again when I've more time but I played four excerpts from your myspace. I even signed into soundclick just to get in touch - how dedicated am I? Why soundclick rather than myspace? Anyway...your sounds. Beautiful. I'd really like to hear you play and I wonder how you feel about playing with new musicians... come and lkisten again: barefootnative
