British singer, guitarist and entertainer Martin Dale combines musical proficiency, natural showmanship and an abundance of energy into a crowd pleasing troubadour show that, while aimed at pub audiences, fits any occasion.
With over 20 years of performing experience playing in bands and solo at venues big and small in Britain, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Turkey, France, Germany and The Faroe Isles, he has the confidence to make close contact with any audience.
As well as playing guitar, singing and persuading people to drink he performs an assortment of other (sometimes rather untraditional) instruments such as harmonica, tin whistle, vacuum cleaner, bar tray, beer bottles etc.
Most of all Martin delivers music people like with a big friendly smile.
As well as his solo projects Martin plays bass for Neil Brophy Band, WAT and performs in the party band "ALIENS!" and is frontman for the English Folk outfit "Fiddly D's"
On average 4 nights a week - best job in the world...special moments every day - last night for example, someone running on stage to steal my plastic chicken and being mobbed by the audience until he gave it up: odd
English "story-telling" folksongs, songwriters like Dylan, Al Stewart, Springsteen, and folk bands like Bellowhead, Barachois along with rock artists likePeter Gabriel og David Bowie , but inspired by everything from punk to barbershop, and love stuff that mixes styles
My trusty old Takamine guitar, MusicMan Stingray bass with Marshall valve amp, Fender Jazz Bass, and mandolin, mandola, mouth organs and, of course, KAZOO!
man walks into a bar.
