There is a difference between being loyal and being ambitious, and MarQuest has a unique personality that makes him the person he is today. Life was never an easy road for MarQuest and his family while growing up in St. Ann Jamaica where he spent eight years of his life before coming to America. Throughout MarQuest's life, music has always been an integral part of him. His love for music will never change. He has been a lyricist for several years and has finally perfected his craft. Each new day brings about a new way to be a better emcee, a better role model, and a entrepreneur. One of MarQuest's goals is to build a youth foundation or a boys and girls club to help youths that have been raped, abused, or who grew up without parents in their lives to provide them with love and the right tools to be successful in life.
MarQuest has been a champion in whatever he encounters, whether it be sports, acting, modeling, writing, drawing, and being honored as an Outstanding cadet in ROTC. MarQuest's music is based on his life experiences as well as those of his family and friends, since he is able to view these experiences through their eyes as well as his own. MarQuest gave himself his name because he felt that his whole life he has been on a journey that brings him closer and closer to accomplishing his goals. He was born Mark Anthony Edwards, named by his grandfather back home in Jamaica.
Many would like to see MarQuest fail, yet he is a fighter who will never surrender and will strive day by day to achieve his goals. He strives to embody positive movement and is always willing to give back to his community and to many more people around the world. All his life, MarQuest has struggled to be a better person and to prove to himself and everyone else that he can achieve his goals. His dream is to one day be able to fully help his mother and family members, as he could not have done anything without their support, guidance and assistance. MarQuest's companions never realized that he would be as dedicated as he is to his music, and it is this very dedication that proves why so many people respect him and believe that he already has what it takes to make it to the next level.
One thing that separates MarQuest from many other emcees is that he has so many different styles, including sounds of rap, dancehall reggae, durty south, Rhythm and Blues, hip-hop, and reggaeton. People always wonder where he gets his style of rapping from and since he loves so many different cultures and types of music, he figures why not put everything all in one and just make it something that everyone can enjoy?
Marquest dreams of one day owning his own radio station because he would like to bring everyone together who appreciate all types of music, and to be able to spread a positive message to people who have walked in his footsteps or who have had worse experiences.
