Mark Villarosa originally formed a band called "Bamboojuice" in 2002 drafting in friends Salvatore Notaro (drums) and Mario DeBergolis (Bass) to help bring the project to life. Two EPs were recorded by the band during the 5 years of the groups lifetime (Nightsong in 2002 & Comin Home in 2007).
Two songs (Scared of Heights & Liz) from the Comin Home EP also reached the semi-finals of the UK songwriting competition in 2007 against 5,000 nationwide entries.
Bamboojuice played numerous shows around the London gigging circuit and abroad building a solid fanbase (the Rock Garden, the Dome, the Purple Turtle, the Borderline, 100 Club, Hope & Anchor, Sound, the Half Moon, Dublin Castle, Monto Water Rats, Le Bar Bat in NYC) and were filmed by an MTV crew in 2008 for a feature called "MTV Live & Unsigned". The band also supported Reef at one of their revival gigs in the same year.
With a new line-up of songs, Mark Villarosa together with Salvatore Notaro (the original drummer) drafted in Sanjay Katick (Lead Guitar) and Donal Kelleher (Bass) in 2009 to complete the new supporting cast of "Mark V".

But we also love rocking out at places like the Bowery and the Spice of Life - we get on really well with the promoters at those venues, so it makes it doubly fun for us and our fans when we play there.

Everything comes full circle sooner or later. We draw our influences from the musical gods of our past (The Police, U2, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden) and speak their music today, but with our voice.
We are Mark V, we play stadium-sized rock wherever we are, whatever the venue.
