Mark Moynihan
My name is Mark Moynihan, FKA Dj Straight Face. I have been producing with Fruityloops for about four years now. I hope to eventually go somewhere with my music and hope that my style can be enjoyed by a wide variety of people. I am still learning many new things about producing but have definitely found an edge on a certain style I love to make. Trance is my most common field of sound, but I have been experimenting more recently with a more progressive sound thanks to a few of my motivators. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I began my musical lifestyle sometime in gradeschool when I played the drums. I was in a band up until the start of high school when I began playing the guitar. As I played occasionally with friends, I didn't find myself improving or expressing myself through a distinct sound. Finally, in my junior year of high school, I started using Fruityloops 3. It took me a while to grasp, but found the greatest interest in it compared to every other instrument I had played before. I had taken piano lessons at a much younger age, so I had a small previous knowledge on how to work the program. But it wasn't until about a year ago until I starting working with the program in a confortable and educated manner. Now I am working on making the best sounding songs to my ability while expressing my certain style that comes from a life long interest in a wide variety of music.
