Mark Martucci

I've found myself in a solo career after a few band attempts. in the studio i play all the instruments. i find that it's an easier process, it's easier to record what's in your head when you have total control.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
well i starting writing songs when i was about 14, solo acoustic stuff that i recorded live by myself with a video camera... then some of my freinds asked me to join a band that would later be named willis. willis hung around for awhile, until we decided to go our separate ways... me and the drummer of willis go together with a new bassist and moog player and formed mom's plate (the name was inspired by our favorite tv show "pete and pete.") moms plate recorded a few songs and played a few shows before it slowly disolved. when it all boiled down i found myself recording solo... so i decided to stick with it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. I play in the New York metropolitan area and the Philadelphia area. I love playing live! it's soo much fun... I think theres video of me somewhere lying on the ground playing metal solos...
Your musical influences
I could never really could mimic anyone's style because of my playing style (an upside down right handed 5-string guitar with the 100 tunings that i've devolped) but according to what people say, I have some weezer, elliot smith, ben kweller, and ben lee mixed in my music. and i'm fans of all those bands, so i guess it's a positive.
