I've been playing much longer than I've been making beats, and I've been fortunate to perform in several major jazz festivals both in and out of the country. In 2006 I performed in Uruguay and Colorado, and won two national jazz composition competitions (ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award and Downbeat Student Music Award for Best Extended Original Composition). In fall 2007, I entered Berklee College of Music on scholarships as a piano principle.

2: Robert Glasper - this pianist originally from Houston is blending hip hop, gospel, and jazz and he's responsible for me getting into hip hop. Much love.
