Everybody and their brother is doing it now: writing, performing and recording at home. I do it, and, in fact, my brother does too. In my case, I play guitar, bass, dabble with keyboards, mandolin, and banjo, and sing. Furthermore, I've even built two my guitars and a bass, that last of which I gave to my brother. I do it all for fun and the love of music, with no commercial aspirations whatsoever..
My gratitude to the people at the Cakewalk Forum for all their valuable advice and criticism.
Band/artist history
I'm currently playing with a 60s cover band called Beach Street A Go Go. We've been getting some gigs lately, noticeably at The Arena in Simi Valley. We'll be playing there in December, February, April, June.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've been in bands on and off for the last thirty years or so. There's nothing like playing for an appreciative audience.
Your musical influences
My influences are too numerous and eclectic to list, but just to name a parameter: I like music as far back as Telemann, and as recent as today. Like Duke Ellington purportedly said: "There are two kinds of music: good and bad. I like both."
What equipment do you use?
My equipment:
a few guitars
a couple of basses
M-Audio Key Rig 49
Line 6 Toneport UX1
Sonar Home Studio 6
a mandolin
a banjo
Mic: MCA SP-1
HP Pavilion a1250n

This tune is a blast! Lyrics are written great and tell a hilarious story; and I know what you're talking about... I've been to quite a few physical therapist. Luuuv that bass line, and that guit solo... what can I say; I'm jealous! No nits on this one, sounds great Mark.
Cool tune with a "bluesy" feel to it. Vocals again are sounding great and the guit is sweet as usual. You wrote some "outside the box" there dude! Keep em' coming friend; we may be gettin' old but we ain't dead yet, so keep bending those strings!!!!
Mark, guit is shining as always, great solo. Nice writing and bluesy vocals. IMHO I would put the vocals just slightly more back in the mix and up the drum 2 to 3 db. The bass sounds a little, for lack of a better work, "squashed"; maybe a little too much low end? Nice work buddy!
Love it Mark, your vocals are sounding exceptionally good on this one and the guitar, well, what can I say except for that I'm jealous!! Can't believe you put together something that sounds this good without any special mixing or preliminary mastering. Great job and I suuuuuure do miss your guitar leads in my songs!

That's a great job. Loved the guitar work and inspiring to listen to as I'm wanting to learn a cover of this. You've really helped with me learn the phrasing of this lovely song. Thumbs up!!!
