Mark Chadbourne's next new studio album "Carpe Cardia" is now complete. "Carpe Cardia" has 17 tracks of 21 total new songs which are entirely composed, performed and produced by Mark Chadbourne. Plans for the release date and for the other four tracks are yet to be determined while the cover art is being developed.

My latest project has been in the works since 2001. I began a requiem of sorts following the horrific events of 9/11 and the attacks on the United States. Initially, I had intended doing a cover of the Guess Who's "Heaven Only Moved Once Yesterday" for a compilation release called "From the Fans II". Several years earlier, I had contributed two tracks to the original cd of artists covering songs by the Guess Who. My two contributions on the first CD were "Glamour Boy" and "Undun".
However, the From the Fans 2 project never seemed to coelesce - or there was never any follow through to me about the project. Over time, I fiddled with the arrangement and it took on new shapes - eventually deciding on doing a requiem in three movements.
There was an eerie personal connection to the events of that day to me on several levels. Foremostly, at the time, I was webmaster of the Guess Who online site "All Hashed Out". The Guess Who had embarked on a re-union tour of North America w

I'm happy! "Love Me, Love My Latest Crisis" the album...was the best selling album for three weeks straights, bumping out "Tinglegroove", which was the best seller for four. I had four of the top five best sellers for three straight weeks, with "At Loggerheads" and "Good Light" coming back to life - and getting played in Africa - which really brings a smile to my face.

New single "Love Me Love My Latest Crisis" is now available...from the album of the same name. My last single "Tinglegroove" remained at #1 on the Shoegaze charts for 69 days. Had a surpise hit with a track from the "googleInvert" ep with "Some Abnormal Idea". It peaked at #4 on the German Hip Hop charts. Ya just never know. And Bla's "Cheryl Ornamental" sustained enough download to peak at #9 on the Accoustic Vocal charts.

Discovered a couple websites that feature bands from the 80s and 90s in Northeast Ohio...my band Tent Sleeps 4 is one of the featured groups, along with X, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Trent Reznor/NIN, Black Flag, Shockabilly, The Dickies, Howard Devoto, Devo, Chrissie Hynde, The Numbers Band, Johnny and the Clampettes, Suicidal Tendencies, and lots more.
Came across a couple websites devoted to bands from Northeast Ohio on MySpace and Facebook including yours truly and my band Tent Sleeps 4.
