Marie Baringer
An aspiring composer, Marie Baringer completed her Master's degree in Music Composition in 2008, which finished up with an internship at a well-known film composer's studio in L.A. She received the 2008 ASCAP Henry Mancini Scholarship to help fund the final semester. Her work is refined and spirited, and you will enjoy listening to it.
Although mainly a vocalist, Marie plays trumpet as a hobby. However, her ambitions, although once directed towards the stage, are aimed towards composing music for the silver screen. She began seriously composing during the summer of 2004 when she was asked to create the musical score for her family's short film "The Patriot Deception," which was selected as a finalist at the 2005 Telly Awards for Use of Music. Since then, she has composed several additional pieces in her spare time that she hopes to get published someday.
Join us as we interview this talented young lady...Have you performed in front of an audience?I used to sing with choir, jazz band at basketball games, and on the stage in shows, but since graduating from college, I have found unfortunately few opportunities to do so. However, I *have* had the honor of hearing several of my compositions played live, which has been quite agreeable.
Your musical influences
John Williams, James Newton Howard, Steven Curtis Chapman, Beethoven, Brahms, Ravel, Debussy...What equipment do you use?
Sibelius 3, Sonar 4, EWQLSO Gold, an ancient MIDI keyboard, and, when I'm doing vocals, the microphone on my mp3 player. ^_^hi marie very nice song..thanks..Hi Marie!
