Margaret Wilson
I am a solo fingerstylist playing an eclectic mix of blues and jazz.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have been playing off and on since 1969.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No. I play in my home studio only.
Your musical influences
Sharon Isbin, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Christopher Parkening, Howard Morgen, Martin Taylor, John Knowles and Pat Martino to name a few.
What equipment do you use?
My guitars: 2003 Samick Royale RL3, 2002 Carvin CL450 classical guitar, and a 2000 Fender US Fat Telecaster.
My amps: Late 70s Fender Princeton Reverb, 1968 Fender Vibro Champ, 2000 AR.Acoustic Proverb 65, 2003 Roland Cube 30.
Recording: Behringer MX602A mixer to the sound input on my computer, recording done with Cool Edit 2000. For the electrics, I plug into a Tech 21 SansAmp GT2 pedal (or my Roland Cube 30) and then into the mixer. For my classical, I plug directly into the mixer, as my guitar is outfitted with a Fishman Prefix Pro preamp.
