"when one met two" began with a desire to try something new. After playing in bands for several years, I wanted to do a project with new musicians and a new perspective. While this does not mean an end to any of my other musical endeavors, I wanted to record something where, ultimately, I had to answer to no one but myself. After enlisting the assistance of long-time producer Ted Comerford, I began the process of finding both the right songs and the right musicians for the project.
I wanted this cd to be a mixture of some of my older songs that we could now reinvent and some of the newer songs that I had written but had not yet seen the light of day (or darkness of a club). The older songs that were chosen were "swell" and "somebody told me"' - they joined new songs "answers" and "desert plain." Consider the last track something else altogether - a cool-down or musical palette cleanser.
I was fortunate enough to have the generous support of Jarrett (bass), J.P. (drums), and "Max Power" (backing vocals) from Virginia Coalition, as well as Vivion from Juniper Lane. Without their help and talent, this whole thing would still be an inaudible idea. If you haven't already heard their bands - click the links and check them out - you'll be glad you did.
This has been a long, arduous road - we started last September - but I am thrilled with the finished product and hope you will be as well. So, check out the songs, buy the disc, send me your comments, do whatever you like - have fun with it. Thanks for visiting and please do spread the word.Ryan's station full of goodness knows what

I like a song with lyrical meaning. Though our philosophies may differ, a song encouraging a search for truth, and answers, is good in this day.Again, unsoclicted opinions, but sometimes I get in the mood.
Low on the procuction only cause there's just the piano, so not a whole lot of producing going on. The sound is nice and clear, though, which is more than I can say for my stuff.
You might consider two things.
a) move this to acoustic piano genre, and
b) give it a name. Certainly you had certain thoughts running through your mind as it created itself within. Use a phrase from those thoughts. "Untitled" is "Un" attractive.
Hope u don't mind the thoughts.Nice one Marc. I went 3 on the production because I thought the secondary voice was a bit louder than it should have been. Especially if its to echo the main vocal. I know you didn't ask for opinions, but since I can't vote the other aspectws without leaving one, I figured I'd leave one.Marc-
Sounds like something I would listen to more of-

(mind taking a sec and giving me a click and some feedback?)

They don't have a star rating for arrangements. I really enjoyed the varying layers of guitar and differing riffs in this one. Slightly confused by the title. Good luck to ya as your musical journey continues. I enjoyed thinkning outloud on your comment board. Hope you don't mind. Ed
