I am a composer, working extensively with algorithmic and fractal music. I also write classical music - any ensemble considered. :)

Band/artist history

I have been involved in music to a greater or lesser extent since I was very young.  I went to Cheethams School of Music, Manchester and Trinity College of Music, London, which is where I first took up composition seriously.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

I don't play live now. I used to perform as an orchestral/band violinist and keyboards, which I loved.

Your musical influences

Boulez, Webern, Penderecki, Lutoslawski, Ligeti, lots more... Rock bands: Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Gong, Genesis, King Crimson, Hawkwind, The Orb, etc. etc. etc.

Anything else?

I spent some time not very active in music when I was caring for a very special person until she died.  During that time, I first became interested in PCs. I eventually got interested in fractal art (I have a fractal web site at http://www.fractalvisions.co.uk), and saw a lot in common with my methods of composition.
