Marc Clements and the Highliners
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Formed earlier this year, the band's debut CD 'Looking For The Sun' was deemed impressive enough to warrant an immediate booking on our hallowed boards.
Former guitarist with Bristol R&B stalwarts The Untouchables, Mark's playing earned him the attention of such exalted figures as Van Morrison and Wilko Johnson. While his reputation has been forged in R&B, his latest venture sees him embracing his love of country rock with a sublime set of world-weary original material pitched somewhere between The Flying Burrito Brothers, Neil Young and The Jayhawks.
The Highliners utilise the abilities of some seasoned local pro's including Charlie Rose (piano, violin), Bob Dickson (pedal steel) and rhythm section Chris Gregory (bass) and Jim Drakett (drums, harmonies) from Prom rabble-rousers The Bones.
With such a strong line up of songs and players, this gig is a must-see for all lovers of melody and harmonyHave you performed in front of an audience?South-West U.K.

Excellent songs - I can hear the Gram Parsons influence, It's the kind of music I never tire of hearing.
