The Maras are nightmare spirits in the Slavic mythology, that were a piece of synonymous for the eternal Pagan war against the christianity. The demons have chosen their pagan paths that show the reality upon the face of lie, so MARAS is a band that supports the natural and primordial spirit of the folks and Mater Zemlya, as a symbol of glory, might and eternal power of the truth.

The band is formed in 2004 by Avet and Kobnik. Later Smrtostvor joins the band on drums.
