Manifest is classic in a way but manages to surprise us with good songs and a real personality. Wait and see

-The Art of War unleashes some ultra brutal, tight and furious groovy death trash metal.

the band names Slayer, Sepultura, Meshuggah and others as influences. In fact, the Norwegian trash boys have their own sound

Manifest has a strong quality: each rhythm that they play sounds extremely heavy. There is plenty of thrash metal influences here but they are combined with death metal and modern metal (in the sound) creating this explosive combination that is Manifests music.

this band rocks, this band really rocks.

Band/artist history
Manifest was formed in Trondheim 2000. In october, the first demo was released; Structure of Disharmony. Just after the release, Manifest's debut concert took place on the main stage of the "Eath the Rich festival in Trondheim...
The self-financed demo-EP "Lifelong, painful co-existence" was recorded in Oslo April 2001, and in December 2001 yet another four track demo was recorded. In 2002 the band eventually parted with their vocalist.
In April 2002, Stian Leknes joined the band on vocals. The first concert with Stian fronting the band was friday August 2nd 2002 at the Tauterstokk festival north of Trondheim.
Some time after this festival, Manifest met Rune Stavnesli of Godt Selskap" Studios. Eventually, this meeting led to the recording of five songs, three of which were released as the Art of War promo Ep 2003. During 2004, Manifest and Godt Selskap Studios worked with the debut album
Half Past Violence. Just when the album was ready to be released, Edgerunner Records discovered the band, the record, and the fact that Manifest was still unsigned!
So, at last, Manifest's debut album "HALF PAST VIOLENCE" is released through Edgerunner Music, and distibuted through VME!
If you don't own it, GO GET IT!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are thinking about our band as a live band; we love playing live, and we do it as often as we can. We're allways rehearsing towards some gig, even when we're writing songs we're joking about how cool it will be playing the newest song live. This late summer/autumn/vinter, we're gonna play every weekend. Mostly Norway, but we're allso going to Germany to play at the Wacken Open Air metal festival. Last year we played at both the Inferno festival in Oslo and at the Hole in the Sky festival in Bergen, the two biggest and best festivals in Norway. That was really cool, so we're really looking forward to playing on a German metal fest!
Your musical influences
We're four different guys in the band, who all listens to different music. We all love metal and rock, but also loads of other influences, such as 70's prog, good old rock n roll, psych, hardcore...
What equipment do you use?
Gibson Guitars and Bass.
Pearl drums.
Marshall and Ampeg.
Shure microphones.
Anything else?
Yeah, we'd like to promote the metal scene of the Norwegian town Trondheim. Lots of great Metal bands from this town; Manes, Chton, Apparatus, Keep of Kalessin, Griffin, Bloodthorn, Atrox, Subliritum, just to name a few. The Norwegian Death/Trash scene is ever rising!
