The main focus of Malmstorm is to emulate sounds of pain, love, hope and loss by means of electronics. More to come...
Malmstorm began in 1999, shortly after leaving black metal band Lorde of all Desires. I wrote an entire albums worth of material, some of which ended up paving the way for the band Epicurean, which i helped start in 2001. I have since left the band to concentrate solely on the Malmstorm project, as well as Shadowchase, another project i'll begin somewhere in the spring of 2005.
Savatage and Trans Siberian Orchestra are my biggest influences. Musicians that made me want to play, or influenced me one way or another: Kevin Moore, Alice Cooper, JS Bach, Henryk Gorecki, Jorden Rudess, Jonathan Cain, David Bryan, Cevin Key, Mortiis, Enya...
Bands: Kings X, Savatage, Dream Theater, Entwine, Type O Negative, Abigor, Arcturus, Dan Swano, Dimmu Borgir, Moonspell, Ulver, Porcupine Tree, Of the Wand & Moon, Ephel Duath, Tiamat
Finally have the Triton LE back in the arsenal. Good to have an old friend back.
check out my previous band Epicurean.

Listened to Hope and Silhouette, and am absolutely amazed. Breathtakingly beautiful. The 'Fur Elise' of the 21st century. Just incredible.Very elegant piano skills on the main page track (Silhouette). Something that a lot of electronica producers have forgotten is vision and class. I hear both of them in this peice. Good work. I would like to share with you an early work of mine, but I'll be polite and wait for an invitation.
