Makeout Boys are ROCK -N- ROLL!
Band/artist history
In the fall of 2002, Sticky Fingers Gomez began the journey of his life. Gomez decided to recruit some of his local gang, the Makeout Boys to start up a band. At the time, the gang already had a rep for stealing girlfriends and causing fights with other local crews in the neighborhood. So he decided to take that reputation and take it worldwide. The band would be called the Makeout Boys and they would create a sound that was not only Rock N Roll but also loud, fast, raw and sexy.
With the band under way, they immediately put out the $50 Demo and started playing local shows around town. Quickly, a reputation got out about the Rock N Roll band Makeout Boys. Most people described them as louder than a shotgun blast in the mouth and more addicting than slammin H in the vein. The fan base grew so quickly that some of the members decided to take care of their legal/personal problems in order to be able to dedicate all their time to the band. They took a leave of absence while the other two members went into the studio to do a full-length record.
With the help of Chris Fields and Russ Guenther, the band was still able to go into the studio to record and release the long awaited album Teenage Thrills in January 2003. The band reunited in the beginning of 2003 and the line-up consisted of Rick on bass, Jason (a.k.a. SaSha) on drums, Nathan (a.k.a. The Blade) on lead guitar, Sam (a.k.a. Roach) on rhythm guitar and Gomez (a.k.a. Sticky Fingers) on vocals.
With the solid line-up, the band continued to perform and make some noise in southern California. The raw live shows and off stage antics got the Makeout Boys banned from the Whisky A Go Go in L.A. and also got Sam into a little bit of hot water with the law, still the fan base continued to grow. They continued on as a four piece and hoped that Sam would return after doing his time. They are now in the process of setting up a U.S. tour and recording and releasing their next installment of Rock N Roll history. The new CD will be released in mid 2004.
Inspired by the best Rock N Roll and Soul music from the fifties, sixties and seventies along with the best of the worst gangsploitaion films and adult movies, Gomez created the sound and attitude that is the Makeout Boys. And as a band, the Makeout Boys are ready to take over the world.
