Mad Society

YOUR HORRIBLE SMILE:A High School Prom King, Once Jailed Loan Broker, Disabled Hairy Greek, And Hollywood Soundtrack Composer on Mushrooms join forces to create MAD SOCIETY, A sonic force taking human form as an LA ROCK BAND. Sexy and subservient to their flocking female fans, the boys only got into music so they could meet those special girls that they had always fantisized about. Alas, MAD SOCIETY remains bereft of sufficent female companionship. Drawing from influences and sounding similar to Jeff Buckley, QOTSA, Soundgarden and Sknyrd the band rocks socal like the San Andreas. MAD SOCIETY has a ferverent show and a take no prisoners punk attitude toward recording. :Mad Society: MAD SOCIETY MAD SOCIETY : MadSociety
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
United through the miracle of Craigslist, these four veterans of the LA scene converged in a Downtown Rehersal lockout and played their first show 29 days later. The power of love had manifested in these fiery rock trainees. With only an analog eight track to use they pumped out six songs in three days with no overdubs or editing. The whirlwind subdued like all things LA and MAD SOCIETY took some time to write and record more songs before a string of summer shows.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Hollywood, SIlverlake, Around LA and Socal.
Your musical influences
Queens Of The Stone Age, The Police, SoundGarden, Kim Thyil, Vertices, Helmet, Stone Temple Pilots, Setting Sun, THe Solo Project, Anything slow sexy and scintillating.
What equipment do you use?
Beat up chopped up Fender axes tuned to B 80's Tama Superstar Stuart Copelands. All analog eight track and 600 lb. mixing board.
Anything else?
WWW.YOURHORRIBLESMILE.COM is the often updated website. All four members are perpetually on the hunt for female accompaniment and would love to hear from you, ladies! Correspondance available through website or at shows. Were all just a group of rock and roll puppydogs. MAD SOCIETY LOVES YOU.
