Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
At the age of 16 Meld invested his savings in a set of Technics, spending day and night mixing and exploring his talent.
During this time he had to regretfully turn down numerous gigs on the local club scene due to age restrictions.
Discovering that mixing wasnt enough of a challenge, he turned to friend and fellow DJ The Chatter (associated with Rock Hard Recordings) from whom he learnt everything he could. With this new acquired knowledge, Meld began to produce his
own tracks.
Meld later went on to pass a two-year BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology at Halton College, gaining experience in Sound Design & Studio Engineering, Lighting, Video Production, Music Theory
& Aural Awareness.
The course has cemented Meld with a residency at
the Corner House in Widnes,
performing a fortnightly set which grew very popular before the club was closed down in late 2003.
Currently Meld is studying at The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and is continually gaining valuable experience and developing strong networking skills needed to help maintain his label.
