Lyric The Lyracist

Vinzetta Jackson-AKA-Lyric The Lyracist was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in an area where drugs and gang violence were prevalent. Looking for an escape, Lyric immersed herself into music, something she loved from the early age of 5. Trying various group projects with friends and family, she took on the role of writing her own material and eventually ventured into her solo act at the age of 12. Now at the age of 26, Lyric The Lyracist has merged two genres together to form her own blend of R&B/Hip Hop. She hopes to bring a fresh new versatility to the main stream market with her style, by breaking ground and being seen as a serious artist, rapper and profound singer. Currently Lyric The Lyracist is working on her first independent album hoping to hit the underground hard and market herself to major labels. She promises the album will have hard hitting lyrics, addictive hooks, and display strong vocals to show the world that she is not just another rapper, singer, or performer as quoted in one of her raps. You can also expect lyrical content and phrases not usually delivered by female artists, earning her the name Lyric The Lyracist. Look forward to the release of her independent album late 2007. Lyric plans to showcase her talents by performing in shows across the U.S. Earning a fan base with the hard work and dedication of a thirsty artist. All hope this remarkably unique artist can make a name for herself as a phenomenon that took the music world by storm!
