L.P. aka LPassion was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He later move to Alabama with his family at a young age. He fell in love with hip hop after hearing L.L. Cool J's "I'm Bad". Later he joined a rap group known as Unequal Minds, now known as "ATF (Against the Fake)". L.P. was also a part of East Alabama Mass Choir where he was allowed to showcase his rap talents. After graduating from Oxford High School he joined the U.S. Army and toured various state-side bases. Completing his his tour in Europe he now stays in Germany. L.P. has opened for numerous gospel groups, hip-hop artist and European acts. Once being a gospel rapper (FOWNDAESHUN), L.P. was able to hone his rap skills on both arenas. In search of self he once studied ministorial teachings, presently he is enrolled in Computer Information Technology and Systems Management.
For all the youngsters, L.P. is continuing to hit the books. L.P. is influenced by groups like Outkast, Ruff Ryders, Goodie Mob, R. Kelly, the original L.L. Cool J, Jay-Z, and Nas. L.P. was also influenced by past bands like Earth, Wind, and Fire, George Clinton and other G-Funk bands in that era. Hip hop is not just a culture but a state-of-mind. You can tell by the way many cultures have accepted it, adding to it their own flavor.
L.P. made his way by performing with various groups from Gospel, R and B to Hip Hop. He was once the opening act for Xavier Nadoo at his tour, he's been on various CD’s, he has cooperated with KC Da Rookie, Lamar, Stieber Twins, Mel and numerous rasta groups.
He supported the P-Force Camp as MC for ELLIOTT. At P-Force he completly recorded his Solo-CD "You don't know me" which is now available.
