Hey, it's me, Mika aka the LyricalDiva. I'm a classically trained singer, but I'm returning to my first love in music, R&B. I'm also a songwriter, and wanna try and bring quality music back onto the scene. *I'm interested in recording some new material! If you got a style you want to hear, let me know!!!*
Band/artist history
I began writing songs around the forth grade, but I've been singing music for a long time, beginning in church (like many others). During childhood, I always wanted to be a singer or a teacher. right now I'm pursuing my goal of being a music teacher, teaching kids about the importance of music in our lives. During the summer of 2004, I began writing songs again and with help began recording songs. Ever since then, I've been getting back to what I love. I hope that I can make music that people enjoy and love!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've just started recording myself singing my own songs. However, I've been singing classical music live for 4 years.
Your musical influences
My favorite music is GOOD music. Nah, a couple of my perosnal influences would have to be Jill Scott, Floetry, Mariah, Sade, Erykah, Dwele, some good soul music.
What equipment do you use?
I use good 'ol Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and a regular mic. I'm investing in a new mic soon.

You have some nice music. Vocals are decent not strong but they match the music very well. I like how you have sort of different sound. Lyrics are nice as well. "Think of U" is nice. Keep doing what you do. My songwriting is sort of new a different as well, check out some of tracks such as ""Tears", "Your Laugh" and "Far Away"
I'm realy impressed if you still have the accas email them to me I'll get this mixed up and mastered for you the song is good by the way.
