Death is a snake Death is a snake
Death is a Snake is a rant at the unfairness of untimely death. Insofar as a rant can contain soaring vocals, sledgehammer guitars and massed choirs.

Friends & Strangers Friends & Strangers
Completely re-recorded and remixed version. Driven by bass and drums.

Chemical Chemical
Re-mixed and re-recorded with additional orchestration. Our most epic track yet.

Empty Empty
The first of Mikes songs recorded with the band. Inspired by his new love. Bless.

If You Knew If You Knew
More guitars, more choirs, more bass, more riffs, more angst, more fury.

Lugosi are a London five piece sitting musically between Rock and Goth and Dance. Avoiding the 10 minute epics of other bands in this genre Lugosi bring a melodic pop sensibility to the task of writing really gloomy songs about death and madness and loss and stuff.
Lugosi are:
Richard Parsons: vocals & harmonica
Lucia Hrda: vocals
Michael Baker: bass
Matthew Hill: Guitars & Drums
Greg Stapley Drums
Band/artist history
Strictly speaking Lugosi started this year in London as a dark side project for Monterey, our more pop oriented band. Monterey has been going for well over a decade.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We all live and play in London. Although the band draws people from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, the Home Counties and Slovakia.
We will be gigging around London this summer now that we have a adrummer.
Your musical influences
Influences include classic British Goth like the cure, Rock, particularly Led Zeppelin in their heavier vein, but also Placebo, Muse and current American Emo bands, particularly My Chemical Romance and European Goth Metal bands like Lacuna Coil, Tristania and Tears of my Beloved.

a "wee version" of the song? A version constructed entirely of urine? Surely you must be taking the piss...
You'll be glad to know "laugh at Parsons" hour is STILL a feature of rehearsals.
Can't believe you've not done a version of Tribal Dance. I adore Tribal Dance...I can still hum John's solo note for note lol!
Ok, I'll be your drummer, but just this once...
