Whats the music like in general?
We like to call it a premium blend of blues, rock, funk, and gospel.
In the context of a show; we perform in two formats acoustic duo or trio and a five piece electric band.
When performing acoustically the tunes are closer to a delta blues style.
When performing electrified Texas and Chicago Electric blues bands heavily influence us.
We consider ourselves influenced by many artists, to name a few; Little Feat, Stevie Ray, Reverend Gary Davis, Elmore James, and Lowell Fulson.
Our tunes are mostly original with some adaptations and covers of our liking thrown in.
The Players :
George Dudley-Guitar and Vocals.
George has been playing the guitar for more than 2 decades. In that time its fair to say his approach to the guitar is unique. His blues playing for example is true to the genre but totally fresh. Hes played with numerous club bands in the New England area . His session work can be found on several fine local productions.
George plays a custom made Tele with Emg's in a Strat configuration through a Mesa Boogie Triaxis preamp wired to a pair of vintage Celestian Rola 12" Speakers in a stereo configuration.
Jack Dudley- Bass and Vocals
Jack is Georges brother and hes also been playing the bass guitar for more than 2 decades. His style is really unique-percussive and smooth at the same time.
Jack mostly plays a custom made 6 string fretless bass.
Tim Martin- Drums
Tim brings to the band a rock edge to the band. Hes a bit younger than the other players and has been involved in several hard rock bands including Quarter Inch Aspenite and Pentecost.
Bruce Andrews Harp, Vocal
Bruce has been playing the harp and singing with bands for over 20 years now. His parents had him listening to the likes of Ray Charles and Bessie Smith from the time he can remember. Bands of his past include; Dusty Wax, NiteLite, and Logic. Bruce has played harp and/or vocalized on numerous regional sessions in the last 15 years.
Dave Gowens - percussion
Affectionately known as "Teeto" (southern for Tito) started playing at the age of 5 with his older (much older) brother as his mentor. Dave's first percussive love was marching percussion, but soon developed into hand percussion. As a long time high school percussion instructor, funk and groove has always been at the top of his list to share with students.
Dave's gear consists of 3 Toca congas, LP Matador bongos, LP Matador timbales, and too many LP toys to mention. Everything except the timbales are mounted on one rolling LP Triple Conga Stand with custom extended dog bone bongo stand attachments.
