In 1995, encouraged by Da DMJ, The LS-Dj (then known as Dj Apocalyps)
started his Dj Carreer.
After a year of practicing and small parties, they founded 'PSYKOCIRCUS'.
Da DMJ did the Trance part & The LS-Dj did the Hardcore part.
After a few months they also started producing.
it was a combination of trance and hardcore (pre-jump), at the same time,
the first jump records appeared (Attention, Gunshot).
After being turned down by Import Partners (Later known as Jumper records)
and the failliure of the Accra-Project (Top Radio)
they decided to give up producing and concentrate on mixing.
They started all over again as a Dj-Team together with Dj Steven.
Dope Division was born !!!Dj Steven & the LS-Dj concentrated themselves
on 'da real jumpstyle' and 'real retro house' and gave up on all the rest.
Da DMJ & Dj Kevin K did and still do the Trance Part.
They still turn together on several occasions!
But nowadays jump has gone commercial.
The retro hardcore influences have almost been separated from the style.
There still are some great projects
(The Moon, Party Crashers, headliners, delinquents, X-Filterheads ft Dj HS ,...)
but most of the time trance jumpers like Da Rick's 'Lucifer' &
da Boy Tommy's 'Amen' replace floor-bangers like
Dj Frank's 'Funkin serious & Traxxters' Luv Cums .
Jumper has become Jumper Light :(
So, if you can't buy the music you wanna play you could concentrate
on Retro or... you could make the music you wanna play !!!
And with this idea, The LS-Dj restarted producing for the team,
as well as LSDTRAXX (hardcore) or The LS-Dj (Jump).
The only thing he still needs is a label
This summer, he worked for the first time with Dj Wextc aka NaW-T-BoY
( djwextc.com ) on the mix Jump-A-Holics 2.
It came out in the summer when The LS-Dj was in Mallorca for 2 months.
After a great summer of dj-ing and partying he returned to Belgium
and founded the WORLD JUMPING FEDERATION together
with Dj Wextc & The Crazy Jumper!
On the SMACKDOWN cds the WJF Djs give the best of themselves to
keep da jump style alive ! Dj Steven (Dope Division) was
the first guest dj on the cd! After the release of Part 3, The LS-Dj left for a contract in Greece, and returned after 7 months. He reboosted the Smackdown project with Dj 2Hi and Dj Kuco. Lots of productions ( as wel techno as well hiphop )but mostly bootlegs... Now he is preparing to leave for ibiza next summer...Have you performed in front of an audience?Yep...
