Low (South Cack Kid)
NO HYPE, NO GREATEST MC EVER SH*T.....JUST REAL HIP-HOP!!! NOW COME AND SEE FOR YOURSELVES.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was a kid who was raised in both North and South Carolina. My parents were people on the go, so I guess you can say that we were movers and shakers. I was born in Gastonia NC. We moved around a lot, until we landed in Mt. View Housing Projects. There, we had to walk about 3 or so miles to elementary school, because the city would not send buses through there.......jack asses. Anyhow, we moved around some more until we landed in Oakridge, SC. And that became home. I will spare you the sob story, and just let you know that we lived. My people wouldn't let me quit. So I didn't. But growing up in the Ridge showed and prepared me for life as an MC. I was in middle school when some of the older cats in the hood would drive me to other cities and let me battle other mc's who were much older. If nothing else I got respect. And my father (God bless the dead) always told me to get the respect. So I got it. Went through school...and I battled cats everyday before lunch, homeroom, what ever..... and it was still all about the respect, and the love for artistic creativity. I ripped some niggas asses, but that is another story. Sorry about that...but I am really wanting you to feel what I feel. So I am giving it to yall uncensored. I moved after school to GA, and for the most part, I just stayed unseen and unheard. I was embraced by a TRUE underground scene that very few know about, and even fewer talk about. But it was there that the vets of underground gave me the tools to find my light and show it. It helped me also embrace the elements that, in my opinion, the art form lacks in some areas today. Now I am not trying to sell you no..............." I am the realest MC ever, stuff!!" No, we are entertainers, so to a large degree I want to entertain your stank asses with my artist capability, creativity, and style. Either you feel Low or you don't. Not a lot of room for mediocrity when it comes to dealing with me. It is what it is.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I am working now to set up shows for my debut LP entitled "the FREEDOM album". So as of now, I haven't started doing any dates, but I'm planning on doing some soon.
Your musical influences
